Big Mike offers 13 years experience guiding addicts and people struggling with substance abuse on the path to recovery in the U.S., Canada, England, Israel and throughout the English speaking world. Big Mike has helped hundreds of unique individuals free themselves from the grip of drug and alcohol, and each success strengthens his desire to ‘save the world, one addict at a time’.

Experience & certification
In his extensive successful work with street youth as well as private clients Big Mike has, time and again, seen even apparently lost causes achieve long term sobriety.
Mike holds a Certified Addictions and Substance Abuse Professional (CASAP) international certification from the IC&RC. He has a BA in Judaic Studies from Ohr Somayach Tanenbaum College and a teaching certificate from the Israeli Ministry of Education. His experience includes running group therapy sessions, individual counseling, drug testing, assessments and crisis intervention at some of the most well known Yeshivas in Jerusalem. He is also the founder and director of the Jerusalem Sober House, a “12-step based recovery program” in Israel.
Big Mike Gondelman came to Israel from New York in 2001 and currently lives in Jerusalem with his wife and four children.
